I don't know about Hannibal Heyes but as of Kid Curry there really was an outlaw that went by that exact name. BTW he was part of Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid gang. Kid Curry's real name was Harvey Logan.

There was also a George 'Flat Nose' Curry in Butch Cassidy's gang, who's surname I believe Harvey Logan 'adopted'.

There was no real outlaw called Hannibal Heyes in the 1800s. His character was completely fictional. Kid Curry (Harvey Logan) on the other hand... Curry did adopt the name after George Curry was killed - in honor of him.
