Production Order

Is there a production order list available anywhere?

I'm curious because, on current re-runs in my part of the world, they occasionally flip episodes around. Also: Kid's mustache comes and goes. And there's one s2 episode with s1 opening credits.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Riker pull up ASJ on IMDb and then click on Ben Murphy's name. This will pull up his TV list of credits. Then scroll down to his ASJ listing and click the bottom that says 'All 50 Episodes' and this will give you the list as they were made and aired.

Thank you, but that's airdate order NOT production order. It's the exact same list you find everywhere.

And, if you read the trivia comments on some episodes (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0508576/) you'll see that they were not shown in production order. Ben Murphy's mustache coming and going in season two is another clue.

So, again, as I said at the start: I'm interested in a Production Order list.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you get hold of the book Alias Smith and Jones The Story of Two Pretty Good Bad men it has shooting dates for each episode.

Yes its a really good book. It starts off with how the pilot came about and a brief biog of Ben and Pete and then goes into each episode giving a brief precis along with filming dates, director, guest stars etc. After the precis it gives additional info about the filmimg of that episode including changes to storylines etc. It has a chapter devoted to the events surrounding Pete's death and a biog of Roger. It concludes with details of the cancellation and updates on what Ben and Roger have been upto since. It's a very good read.I have referred to it frequently especially after watching particular episodes to check something that I have wondered about.

I have always loved this series since I first watched it as an 11year old in 1971, have the novels based on the series, the annuals, theme tune on 45 etc. I was so excited and pleased when the season 1 DVD was released and then bought the region 1 seasons 2&3 when it became apparent that they would not be available as region 2. I love that a book like this avialable and that people are still interested in this series. With all the junk that is constantly repeated again and again here in the UK I don't know an excellent shiow like this hasn't been shown more recently. Incidentally, the book says that AS&J was at the time and still remains the BBCs most successful import.

Sounds like something I would love. I have books about WKRP and Six Million Dollar Man that I love.

It was the late '70s/early '80s when I first saw the show when it was getting an airing on UK and Irish TV around the same time. It was one of my favourites, and - seeing it now, again, after all these years - it's much better than I expected. I'm about 8 episodes into s2 and loving every minute of it.

Just ordered the book off Amazon.

Can't believe it's been so long!! It only feels like a couple of months. Wow, where does the time go?
