Yes, it's being remade and this is one of those movies that could use a remake. Just like The Hills Have Eyes or how the Thing and the Fly needed one. Most remakes are just an excuse to fool horror fans and teenagers into making a quick buck(all remakes it seems like pull in 20 to 25 million the first week)and then no one else sees it. Unlike those, Wizard of Gore will have Brad Dourif and Jeffrey Combs so it will rock.

They are remaking it....it's being filmed right now.
And Crispin Glover is playing Montag.
I look forward to the remake. Crispen Glover, Jeffery Combs, and Brad Douriff are, in my oppinion, some of the best horror actors out there today. I always wanted to see Combs and Douriff work together. I hope they put the icing on the cake by giving it a great horror director.
