Did they have the subjects' authorization?

Did the producers of this film have the subjects' authorization for their scenes to be included? I would suspect many would refuse to give it, but without their approval, I would think the lawsuits would strip Alan Funt bare.

I'd be interested to know what the shooting ratio was for this film. I'm guessing it was fairly high, since there must have been people who got upset and refused authorization.

I would think the rejection rate would have been very high.
