Way too classy to be a Brooks Film.

I don't understand how anyone could not love you his movie! It is beautifully filmed; has a GORGEOUS and oddly, empathic, leading man; a superb actor in Ron Moody; and a hilarious Dom Deloise. That scene with the poor couple in Siberia is one of the funniest ever ("I NEED those chairs!).

I don't like Mel Brooks but fortunately stumbled on The Twelve Chairs somehow. It is a classy, wonderful movie...Ann Bancroft must have made it.

Well, Mel Brooks DID MAKE IT. And as you love it, perhaps you need reevaluate your judgement of Mel Brooks. You said it yourself...."I don't understand how anyone could not love this movie". Take a look at Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein ....brilliant stuff!
