I watched this for the first time a few weeks ago, I absolutely loved the movie. I am lost though, I missed the last couple of minutes. What happened after Sarge walked into the bus depot? Did Adrian quit or something? Please tell me.............

shareI always thought that Adrian was killed by the guy who became incharge of him. There was the thought that he could of gone awol, but the hate that the new commanding officer had towards him.
That is if your not talking about the part in the middle of the movie when Adrian goes awol; sells his uniform and the sarge talks to him at the bus station convincing him to come back.
Towards the end of the movie, Jan Michael Vincent's D.I. (Darren MacGavin) finds him at the bus station, talks him into going back and buys back his uniform. Back at the base, Sgt. DePayster(Earl Holliman) is put in charge of Adrain and he is then sent to a motivation platoon. Later, Adrain goes AWOL.
