This is where the fish lives.

WTF!?

reply

Yeah, I thought that was strange since it seemed like such pointed dialogue, but never actually went anywhere.

reply

Yeah, gosh, that line was so uncharacteristically flaky for Melissa... (insert rolling eyes here)

reply

who's got it goin' on? me, that's who.

reply

when i heard it i was like "did she die her hair"?

reply

Umm... was that a blonde reference? That's all I can figure out. I think your joke needs some sort of subtitle or something.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as the fly by.

reply

Of course it was a blonde joke. It doesn't need subtitles; you just need to stop being a total idiot.

Oh no, you've insulted me over the internet. I guess I'll go away now.

reply

Its dye her hair. And no, that was a bad joke.

reply

Oh, I thought the spelling was correct and he was saying she KILLED her hair and fed it to the fish...but then that would be a pretty crap joke too. ;D

reply

Yeah, that was a weak joke.

reply

"Oh look at all the blood!"

reply

Yet another example of a time when the movie writes the joke FOR the SOL crew, and all they can do is laugh!

The line only sounds weird because the film is missing part of the previous scene where Jodie jokes that he's never been on a farm without animals, and Melissa replies that, "We do have this one really big fish in the pond." Cut to next scene: "This is where the fish lives."

That's my theory, anyway.

reply

This is where my tongue lives!

"Enough of that technical talk, Foo!"

reply

The MST3k lines mocking this were classic:

Mike Nelson (as Melissa): "Goodnight, fish."

Tom Servo (as the fish in the pond): "Goodnight, kids!!"

reply

Haha I laughed so hard at that part I needed oxygen as Tom Servo mimics a old man fish voice "Goodnight kids!!" Golden MST3K moment
