Mail on Sunday DVD

The version that came with The Mail on Sunday was 128 minutes. Even when you take into account the slightly faster speed of films shown in the UK (25 frames per second instead of 24) it isn't enough to make up the difference with the official running time of 144 minutes.

In Britain a 144 minute film would last about 138 minutes...

It mentions on the IMDb that the video compliation version is 133 minutes. This will be the same version as the one on the DVD.

Does anyone know what makes up the additional 11 minutes?

The additional eleven minutes consist of overture, entr'acte and exit music used in the original international (non-US) roadshow release version (both 70mm and 35mm prints). No additional scenes were involved, though an intermission title was inserted just after the blowing up of the radio station (the first shot of Part Two is the close-up of the jeep steering wheel). In the non-roadshow and TV/DVD versions there is a dissolve instead of the fade to black which leads to the intermission. All the additional music and the intermission title card are included in the original 35mm release print held by the British Film Institute.
