Like a TV Show...

The easiest way to describe this movie is to say that it is like most any episode of Streets of San Francisco. Same plot, same locale, same music, etc.. It is better than most episodes, but not as good as some. The music is just about exactly the same, which is odd, because I don't think either influenced the other.

This guy Gordon Douglas can not direct. The direction is very, very poor, and clumsy in many scenes. He uses a ridiculous technique like some very old foreign films where a scene between two actors is filmed twice, with each actor staring directly into the camera. It is meant to be POV, but one viewer can't have two POVs, so it breaks the scene.

Barbara McNair is incredibly beautiful in this film, but her character needn't exist.

Ed Asner appears, and he has a LOT of hair in this one.

Martin Landau is very good, but working with weak writing.

This is like a TV show. I saw it for free on This TV, but would have been bummed if I'd paid to rent it.
