Why does the house owner prevent the janitor from talking with the police?
I just can't explain it. The priest isn't the house owner's friend and it's always better to have someone else being accused.

shareI don't know, maybe he was scared that the janitor might reveal some incriminating information about him. What I find more confusing is why were the pool hall buddies attacking Tibbs? Story line is pretty sloppy.
