DVD in Canda?

I saw this film, the original with Haley Mills, once, late at night on television many years ago, like maybe 15 or 20. I have never seen it available in Canada in a VHS format. Now I hear rumors that there may finally be a DVD coming out? Does anyone know if be made available in the region code for North America as my Canadian DVD player wont work with DVDs from the UK?????
