Tribute to SONG OF NORWAY

Much maligned film actually plays well in the dramatic department. Individual solos work better than due actual musical numbers. Too much emphasis put on duplicating the ideas that made The Sound of Music successful. It has moments of brilliance and moments of complete amateurism. The music, orchestrations by the London Symphony Orchestra, scenery and performances of Toralv Maurstad and Christina Schollin make it better than it's reputation.
