Weak

Definitely one of Bava's weakest entries in his career. (Wow, never thought I'd have to say THAT about a Bava film!)

I agree! Not a great movie, but it had its moments and kept me entertained. I think it's better than Knives of the Avenger.

I thought this film was a funny and enjoyable send-up of the Spaghetti Western genre. Brett Halsey and Charles Southwood were very engaging in the leads while the lovely Marilu Tolo damn nearly steals the whole movie with her wonderfully fiery portrayal of shrewd spitfire Native American prostitute Manila.

I'm more then half way through & its BAD...this is the first film from the Bava Box 2 I put on knowing that there was a possibility I wouldn't like it & I'm right so far!

Is it supposed to be funny? Cause it fails on many levels? Maybe the italians found humor in this, but me (being latin) think it SUCKS!

Plese tell me this is the worst of the box! I plan to do the "horror" in the box last.

Oh, and so far, Knives of the Avenger is better then this by leaps & bounds.

Yep, this movie is by far the worst in that box set. Seeing that you posted such a long time ago, I'm sure you've watched all the other (Superior) films. Jeez... it's probably the worst movie out of both box sets! To those who are interested, everything else on The Bava Box 2 is far superior to R.C.A.W.J. - even the silly erotic comedy 4 Times That Night, which also stars Brett Halsey (I wish he'd kept his clothes on, though; his skinny-yet-pasty body is unflattering). My favorites are Bay Of Blood, Kidnapped/Rabid Dogs, and the incredible Lisa And The Devil. =D

As for other Spaghetti Westerns, I recommend Keoma, Mannaja: A Man Called Blade, Navajo Joe, and of course Django. I'm sure there are dozens of others also worth watching.

So you guys think House of Exorcism, in the same box set, is better than Roy Colt and Winchester Jack?

I expected not to like this film but it kept me entertained. I thought it was fairly well paced. It tried a little too hard sometimes but overall it wasn't at all a bad effort.

I would not call this Bava's worst. I would reserve that for Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl-Bombs.
