I thought this was shot in Almería!

Missed the opening credits and then realised I'd opened the wrong film. But carried on because it seemed to be a Spaghetti Western, not one of the existential ones but a modest entertainment revelling in the clichés of the genre:

*fairytale moral universe of goodies and baddies;
*simple predictable linear plot;
*enjoyable sub-Morricone music;
*often dire dialogue;
*cast of nonentities, both US and Latin, the latter speaking English badly;
*sometimes unbelievably bad acting;
*improbably beautiful women;
*1960s hairstyles for both sexes;
*a fat old wooden American with a striking resemblance to the late John Wayne.

So with this film who was parodying whom?
