I'm tempted to get it!

I had the misfortune of seeing this on tv - I've always enjoyed the 1960s loopiness (being a fan and defender of the original movie) but this one at the tail end of that decade is like the morning after a big party at your place where you step out into the living room hung over and find a guest who hasn't left and is dancing on the sofa mashing Chee-tos into the upholstery and knocking over drinks with cigarette butts in them.
Recasting the original characters alone was pretty tough to take - nobody replaces Woody Allen for starters, and Severn Darden, who was so cool in 'The President's Analyst', carries on here in a manner that would embarrass Benny Hill!

I don't think I will get it. Thanks.

What did you think of it?

reply

If Font is still out there - I am watching it right now from Netflix and it's so awful that I have to watch the whole thing - like looking at a car wreck.

It is embarrassing how hard it tries to be hip and sexy and so isn't!

Ian McShane is the only good thing in it. The women all look like truck stop mommas with big chests, big hair, and too much makeup.

PretoriaDZ, I know it's nearly two years since your post, but better late than never! I'm glad to say I didn't try and get a copy of that old tripe. Thanks.
