I picked up the CD it sounds GREAT -there five tracks however that have been "expanded" that were'nt supposed to be-I have emailed the producer of the Cd at Cherry Red and he was unaware of the problem so hopefully he will release a revised edition-Adam-:)

I recently purchased the CD of the movie, which was digitally reproduced from the original tapes for the LP recording. It sounds excellent, and is fun to listen to. Incidentally, the song "Zap the World" was evidently meant to be sung earlier in the film while Jimmy was still posing as an English witch ("Witch Beetle"), because he sings a verse in that number (on the cast recording) while obviously still in "Beetle" mode.

Those "expanded" tracks were made by a fan of the film/score, who produced his own CD from cleaned up copies of the LP which he remixed. That they are now on the "commercial" CD says that it is not an "official" CD at all. Hopefully, with the film finally out on DVD a real, official CD of the soundtrack will get a release.

Back when the show was still on I remember sending away for a 45 single that had about 10 different songs from the show itself. ("Mechanical Boy", etc.) Unfortunately that record is long gone. Anybody know if the songs from the show are available anywhere?

Yeah, the "expanded" version was NOT necessary. It's annoying
