The BEST part of the movie...

"...but this last incident is so, trivial in its nature and so terrible in its effect... it can't be the result of an accident, it has to be the work of God.

The last great opportunity of a lifetime... an entire WORLD at WAR, and I'M LEFT OUT OF IT?

GOD WILL NOT PERMIT THIS TO HAPPEN!

I AM GOING
TO BE ALLOWED
TO FULFILL MY DESTINY!"

I know the first scene of this movie is the most famous but I have to say this scene in the hall makes the movie for me. George C. Scott is on fire.

I watched that scene again recently and also thought how great it was.

I just finished re-watching it again and was totally awed, again. One of the greatest films in all of history.

The best part was when Montgomery and his band came marching into Messina and Patton was already there to greet him.

reply

Yes, that was really good.

I liked the part of Patton playing traffic cop for the tanks
