Question about the end *spoilers*

I recorded this movie from the TV and only watched it later.
The recording ended with the protagonists in the bath tube, in the house of Felix' fiancee. Then the future mother in law and the fiancee arrive, they open the door... and everything stopped! I guess my TV calculated less time for the movie.
Was that the end of the movie? Or did it go further? Please let me know.
Thank you very much,

Monica

Please put some dashes above your sig line so I won't think it's part of your dumb post.

what irked me about the ending of the movie was all that business about felix throwing out his typewriter and renouncing writing. what an unusual scene for any WRITER to concoct! buck henry, writer of the screenplay, didn't throw out HIS typewriter, nor did bill manoff, the author of the original stage play........

...so why would you think that it's unacceptable for either one of them to have a fictional character do something that they themselves wouldn't do?
