I'm a great fan of Rivette, particularly of Pont du Nord, which I have been led to believe is largely derived from Out 1. I'm very keen to see the movie, but can't for the life of me find it. I have searched in both Paris and London, but to no avail. Any advice would therefore be very welcome...
There's a German set of OUT 1 (Noli me tangere) coming out in November. Some German-language sites have started listing it. Presumably it will only be a matter of months after that before someone (Artificial Eye? Criterion?) picks up the English language rights.
It is rumoured that OUT 1 SPECTRE will be part of the package (the two films are very different, using different takes as well as telling a subtly different story) but, at the moment, I don't know whether that has been confirmed.
The full version, however, is highly highly recommended - and, assuming this isn't an elaborate hoax, it proves that good things come to those who wait.
The German release has Spectre but only with German subtitles. The longer Noli me tangere however does include English subtitles alongside the German subtitles.
