And to Think I Balked At Buying the Blu Ray

Now it's a movie I watch again and again, and is one of my favs. Partially because it's a good movie and there is some camp. Liz Taylor wanting to be carried into the bedroom when she's far from the lithe Liz she'd been the other times working for George Stevens when Montgomery Clift and Rock Hudson could have done it easily. One scene has me laughing hysterically when they show Liz at her job of being a showgirl; slow-motion shots from the chest-up that look tacked on and (are very) cheated. I just love the movie though. Really do. The dialogue, the flow, the cadence. And when Twilight Time was having a sale, this is one of the ones they were pushing for a 7 for $70. I thought, nah, any movie with two mainstream actors at that time would just be forced; plus I had the feeling I'd seen everything. Anyhow, since then I've had "Later Liz" cinema on my blog (my other account was closed down here on imdb but the posts are still there so I'm not a kook). These posts have to do with basically anything post Cleopatra: Mid to Late 60's to Middle 70's. And this started it. My favorite though by far is ASH WEDNESDAY.
