High School Teacher showed us this on reel to reel in late 70s

He was kind of a prude and decided not to show us the end. He showed it in couple classes that were about 50 minutes. We get 10 minutes from the end and class ends. Next day he said he didn't want to show us any more!

It's a movie that sticks in your head. No it's not a great movie, but is interesting and scenes will stick with you... I did finally get to see the ending years later, I think Turner was showing it and I accidentally came across a showing... I'd recommend it if you like post-apoc movies. Liked it better than that Vig Mortensen one (The Road). That sticks in the mind too, but geez...

Amazing how schools were at one time.

Agreed! I went to high school in upstate NY in the early 80's, and we had a sci-fi class, got to watch 2001, read the book (which made it understood now), and some other classics. I don't think they do this anymore.

I remember some class in high school showed us Carlito's Way. I found it boring. That was in 1995, I think. I remember it distinctly because it was on laserdisc and it, of course, even so big as it was was two-sided.
