I hope so, too.

Patty is one of my favorite actresses.

I like all the TV movies she has done that appear on LIFETIME.

She is one of the few actresses that is not afraid to show us that she, like the rest of us, is getting older (and better).

I also like the fact that she married a US Army ENLISTED man.

I love this movie too. I saw its initial premiere as an NBC TV-movie and was comepletely mesmerized by it. Patty Duke definitely redeemed herself after VALLEY OF THE DOLLS with her superb performance here as a pregnant, bigoted Southern white girl trapped in a summer home with a black man on the run, superbly played Al Freeman, Jr. Duke won a well-deserved Emmy for her performance and Freeman was also nominated. This movie was so suiccessful when it premiered on NBC that it eventually earned theatrical release overseas. Sadly, this film was made during a very difficult period in Duke's life but it never shows onscreen. Wonderful fim.

There is no chance of this movie being on DVD unless Universal sets up a division similar to Warner Archive, as Universal doesn't put old TV movies on DVD.
