The 'Suicide Symphony'

The movie shows Modeste's cruel "joke" about the 6th Symphony being "pathetic" and naming it such as being the last straw that caused Tchaikovsky to "go the same way as his mother" by cholera from contaminated water.

others suggest the music itself says Tchaikovsky already was contemplating suicide as he wrote it.
