Image version of this film

...is excellent. The colors are fantastic. I believe this is the only Region 1 dvd being sold right now. Avoid like the plague the godawful OOP "Synapse" version which is taken from a cruddy print that has scratches, blemishes, and horrible color. I can understand how they may have not had the best source material but you'd think with modern technology you could use better telecine/color correction equipment to transfer the film. Next to Venus in Furs and Vampyros Lesbos this is probably my favorite Franco film.
