When was it filmed?

Does anyone know when it was filmed? I read somewhere that its release was delayed. Is this true?

When Richard Harris goes to the "city" with his girl that town is Jim Thorpe, PA. The fimling took place during July 1969, that part anyway. It was really a big deal around here in those days.

Thank you for your first hand information that it was made during 1969. Did you anyone who was close to the filming of the movie?

No, i did not know anyone..Most of the extra people were from the village of Eckley...Maybe a few from Jim Thorpe...
