Other movies like this one?

I'd like to see other movies like The Mind of Mr Soames. According to one reviewer there are better movies on this topic but does not say which ones and the "Recommendations" at the bottom of the page for this title have little to do with the topic of this movie, very confusing.
So if anyone knows of other movies with this topic done better, I'd appreciate it.

The earlier movie Charly (1968) starring the late Cliff Robertson has been suggested. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062794/

Also "Demon Seed" comes to mind. Perhaps, not quite the same, but since it deals with cloning have a go at it.

"Who Is Julia" 1986

Two young womens lives are changed forever in one moment. A strikingly beautiful and wealthy woman is hit by a truck and is all smashed up and nearly killed. At nearly the same time, a very plain looking lower middle class woman simply faints and suffers brain death. The beautiful womans brain is fine, so, doctors merely transplant her brain into plain Jane. Problems ensue when plain Janes husband continues to believe she is still his wife. She has no memory of him, and goes to live with the beautiful womans husband.

I believe was called Larry, starring Tyne Daly. Was a tv movie, and it was more of a man kept in a facility for mentally retarded patients, buy he was never retarded, just placed there from birth. Someone realizes it, and they teach him. True story.

I'm surprised that no one's mentioned "Awakenings" (1990), starring Robert De Niro, and featuring Robin Williams as Dr. Oliver Sachs. De Niro's character is not a man-baby like Soames - but certainly a "stranger in a strange land" of "the future". AND a TRUE story, to boot!

Another that comes to mind is "Forever Young" (1992), starring Mel Gibson as a man awakened from a cryogenic state after 53 years (1939 to 1992).
