What is your favourite romanian actor(s)?Mine is Gheorghe dinica followed closely by Toma Caragiu,marin Moraru and,of course,Amza Pellea(I'm from Oltenia:-))

Gheorghe Dinica who "in nemernicia lui de caine turbat" is probably one of the best. He's unbelievable. However we can't just forget a few other actors who were already mentioned or not in the thread.
So let me refresh you memory in no specific order (I wish):
Amza Pelea - Mihai Viteazul
Stefan Iordache - Cel mai iubit dintre pamanteni
Victor Rebengiuc - Morometii
Marin Moraru - Series ".... Bobocilor" and many others
Dorel Visan - do I really need to say anything more?
Toma Caragiu - Operatiunea Monstrul ...
George Constantin - this guy's acting was so natural all the time - RIP
Mircea Diaconu - I can't choose a particular movie
Grigore Vasiliu Birlic - A monster of comedy
Florin Piersic - for his Margelatu series and others, not just 'cause I'm from Ardeal too though he played Pintea and more precisely I'm from Maramures so go figure out if I took sides or not in this.
Octavian Cotescu - His Catavencu roles are unforgettable
Florin Zamfirescu - I don't like this guy for some reason but he's damn good as an actor

George Motoi - Alexandru Lapusneanu
Ion Besoiu -
Ilarion Ciobanu - great man
Sebastian Papaiani - he was a necessary ingredient in so many great movies
George Mihaita - Reconstituirea, ..., Omul zilei
Florin Calinescu - not so very often casted but nonetheless talented
Stefan Mihailescu Braila - very good humour - "Louis de Funes" style
Stefan Banica - his laugh was infectious - RIP

Serban Ionescu - in Ion ...
Dem Radulescu - another monster of comedy
Jean Constantin - some would say he's not worth it to have made it in this list but I can't help myself laughing every time I remember "Vai, ... aceste cuvinte ne doare" in Secretul lui Bachus and many other very funny moments we have to thank him for
Dinu Manolache – anybody remembers “Lumini si Umbre”
Adrian Pintea – no comments, very talented

Dan Condurache - this guy is so versatile that he doesn't stop to amaze me
Ovidiu Iuliu Moldovan - very good actor, anybody who have seen him reciting lyrics. he's awsome
Horatiu Malaele - underrated by many cause probably he preferes plays instead of movies. I remember his performance in "Apararea Siciliana" play if I'm not mistaken. HUge talent
Marcel Iures - we know he's good and even Hollywood noticed that

and I forgot a few other good actor but this is what comes to my mind right now. I would like to have something to comment for everyone too. Some of the above actors had a not so commending public life outside the screen after the "'89 Revolution" some might say but mind you we are not judging them by that.
I hope I didn't bother anybody with my long list as I'm aware the question was who's the best. Some are of course better than the others but how can you tell that. Sorry, I can't make that distinction.

I would say the best romanian actor from the new wave is Adi Vasluianu, and with a little more expierence needed, but Dragos Bucur has my vote.
Best romanian actress - OLGA TUDORACHE, by far! Maya Morgenstern is very good... but she has her own play that she uses everytime, and personaly I've got tired of it.

ca sa nu mai vorbim de filme
Caragiu, evident, dar si Amza Pellea. Majoritatea actorilor de film isi gasesc o "nisa", un gen de rol sau stil de interpretare la care exceleaza si aleg personaje care sunt variatiuni cam pe acceeasi tema - daca aleg ceva diferit creeaza un personaj nememorabil sau chiar par ridicoli; dar putini sunt in stare sa treaca de la un gen, sau stil, la altul si sa fie la fel de talentati. Astia doi puteau sa joace orice rol, comic sau tragic si de fiecare data delectau audientele. Caragiu, de le monologurile de Revelion, pana le "Actorul si salbaticii" si Pellea de la "Nea Marin" la "Osanda" si "Mihai Viteazul" au ramas la fel de maiestri.

By far the best roumanian actor is Toma Caragiu... Maybe because of the tragic end durring the '77 earthquake... but mostly because of the roles he played. the times that he could act, in any situation, in any gendre of the character... He was the best... and I must agree with you... Pellea was the second best. The act in this movie "Mihai Viteazul" and many others, was the best... Roumania has potential, in the decades before (to bad the politics were too harsh) but even in the late decades (Maia plyed in Gibson'r "Christ" movie) and many other actors(rewmember "Furia" and other films in that period... one of the best film appeared after '89). It is an known saying, Roumania is a beautiful country with good people... too bad for the ones that try to ruin it's image(including many roumanians).
