When Pelham 1 calls his psychiatrist to come and get him and then spends a few days hospitalized, he never asked that someone informs his wife?
Pelham 2 can only take his place if he doesn't. But why wouldn't he?
Just watched this movie and thought that odd too. His secretary was informed that he was away and wouldn't the board know he was away too? How can one go into hospital without telling your spouse. You'd think that if they knew the "true" Pelham is in hospital, the other one would have hopefully tripped himself up.

I just watched this movie also , and yes I agree it seems unlikely that a wife wouldn't be informed of his whereabouts
