How would this be different if it were made today?

If this had never been made in 1970, and were being made for the first time today (not a remake) how would it be different?

I suppose everyone would be making lots of calls on mobile phones, but apart from that, what would a director do differently?

It would be called "Frantic", or "Unknown".

Interesting question considering this is a remake in itself of an Alfred Hitchcok tv show starring Tom Ewell and is included on the special edition DVD of Vertigo. Strange to think of Roger Moore playing a character originally played by Tom Ewell. I remember watching this on tape many years ago but that's all I remember.

that chase scene at the end would have been no where near as earnestly avant garde

One thing would have to change: one of the cruxes of this film is that Pelham puts on the same shirt every *beep* day but he changes the collar!

For one thing you wouldn't see anyone with bowler hats and brollies!
