The fight scene

Seemed very fake. Wouldn't people try to break up such a violent fight, instead of standing around laughing as if they are at a wrestling match?

reply

Possibly, but they were all very drunk. The part I wondered about is whether they'd all be gathering around the closed-circuit TV going ga-ga over the action the were witnessing. Seemed very voyeuristic, but then again, they were all very drunk.

I don't know how old you guys are, but it rang true.

I was as old as Segal's kids when this was made.

Yes, back in the early 1970's or late 60's when this was made, they would have done it.

It was the age of exploration. People like them were looking for kicks. This was filmed in Westport, Connecticut, which was kind of an artsy, intellectual, upscale section of Connecticut.

You had your artsy types with new families moving there.
