Wow! Ali was 32 when she made this film.

She looked like she was in her early 20's in this film!

She was 30 when she filmed it in 1969....she was 31 when it came to the theatres the next year.......

Watch the movie, *beep* The age of the character isn't kept a secret. Jesus.

She was in college so that age is around 18-22.....and her character died at 25.....in real life she was only 5 years older........but looked the age of the character she was portraying.....

The first line in the movie is "What can you say about a 25 year old girl that died"?..........The whole movie is a flashback. You know the outcome from the second the film starts....and that is called common sense!

Since you seemed annoyed to know the ending of a movie I did you a favor. This way you don't have to rent the film just to be ticked off the first few seconds of the movie to find out the outcome. I was only stating an age respond to Ali looking young. That is what the heading of this part of the message board says so why would you even be here if you haven't seen the film? People were commenting about the looks of the character in the movie so it is only COMMON SENSE that someone who saw the movie would be in this particular subject matter. Now go bother someone else!

The next film of note was The Getaway with the "king of cool" Steve McQueen. She was around 34 years. A very striking lass in that film. Not much success after that film, if you ask me. She's gotten into animal rights and yoga over the years. They say she's still attractive even today (near age 70).

I met Ali when she was 52 (she was on her book tour)...GORGEOUS in person, and very gracious and engaging. She was a total pro, and you couldn't help but fall a little in love with her after the experience of knowing her.

Thanks for spoiling the ending. Maybe it never occurred to you, but there are some people out there who haven't seen this film (like me).

Next time you reveal the ending of a movie, do everyone a favor and put "SPOILERS" on your post. It's called common courtesy.

People post spoilers all the time here and elsewhere without putting "spoiler" in the heading. Why are you here, moron?

reply

I'm beginning to realize how old I am when people are posting that they DIDN'T KNOW the character Jenny dies. That is what Love Story is all about, are you kidding me?

It's like going to watch Star Wars and not know that it's about a war in space.

I didn't know that there could still be a spoiler on a film that's 38 years old.

In using drivingmissjenny's Star Wars analogy, it's like not knowing that Darth Vader is/was Luke's father. (and Leia his twin sister).

You really need to get a grip on reality vs. movies. She looked the part, so get over your OCD age obsession.
