Interesting coincidence, when Oliver is playing the hockey game aganist Montreal there is a player on the Montreal team named Francis Lapierre. My mom never saw the movie when it came out or anything like that, she saw it fairly recently and yet my brother's name is Francis Lapierre. I always thought that was really funny.
shareI don't think Montreal was in the Ivy League. I think the game was against Cornell, which is kind of like Montreal, but without all the Canadians.

I'm sure there is a lot of Francis (and Frances) Lapierre in Canada...and they're all from Montreal (or Quebec).
shareWhy was the Cornell team so French Canadian? At one point the closed caption says the Cornell hockey players are speaking french. Why? Cornell is in upstate New York and isn’t known for being a Canadian uni. Montreal has its own universities.
