Location

At the beggining of the film after the boys are seen walking doen the West Pier they are seen walking down a road and across a junction where one pretends to be blind. I'm at a loss as to where this is! Just before they turn to see the policewoman at the car there is a Woolworths in the background and from googling the names of the shops it appears this is Uxbridge High Street. It certinaly isn't the location of any of the branches of Woolworths in Brighton/Hove/Portslade. As many parts were filmed in Brighton but in locations that would't be known to anyone who doesn't live here- eg. no landmarks I'm at a loss to where this or why this was filmed elsewhere.
