I wonder why Redford doesn't like this film?

Maybe because he's not the good guy? I think about all his films, and generally, he's always the good guy. Man, I wish someone would ask him about this film to find out his reasons why.

The perception is that Redford isn't happy with his character here because he's the baddie, but I wonder if there's a larger reason. It's acting, after all. I'd love to see this film and to have the soundtrack by Johnny Cash.

I have liked all of Robert Redford's movies and watched the last part of An Unfinished Life today. I have refused to watch Indecent Proposal because of the subject matter but that is my opinion and nothing to do with him. I also enjoyed his performances in TV (Twilight Zone and The Untouchables) and his early movies. No disrespect but I think he was a little better then because he was still hungry. I am glad he has become successful.

It may have been a rumor but I remember reading once that he was going to do a western with Clint Eastwood after finishing Tell Them Willy Boy Is Here. He pulled out because he did not want to do another western at that time. It would have been interesting to see them work together when their careers were just taking off. Keep up the good work, Mr. Redford.

Certainly because of the character. The Ac/DC moment is so sexist and misogynistic its amazing. its the kind of thing few directors would even insert nowadays.

I can see why Redford didnt like this movie.

I didnt like it either!

Pffft, my suspension of disbelief has higher standards than that.
