Animal cruelty?

In that attack scene, it really looked like the horse on which Hansen rode was shot, and then for the remainder of the scene lying down dead. What were the laws on animal cruelty in movies back then?

Horses were indeed protected by laws in this country. Europa I cannot say for sure. Maybe maybe not; why do you ask here?? Ask on google.

I doubt they actually shot that horse. Humanitiarian considerations aside, horses are expensive, and you don't want to have to replace an animal, an expensive animal that's worth a lot of money that you can give back to the owner or sell to recoup some of your shooting costs.

Yes back then we were just terrible killing animals pell mell for entertainment

We today on the other hand are so noble and high minded

60 million murdered unwanted babies later

Feels so self satisfying you know
