This short is one I saw a few times in the mid-1970s and was absolutely floored by it each time. I've been looking for a copy to no avail for a while now. Anyone who can help me, I would much appreciate any information. My IMDb user ID is llltdesq. Many thanks.
Why don't you e-mail Nick and see if any prints are available? I am sure he would like to hear from you. He is currently serving with the Peace Corps in South America.
It was quite a film. As I recall, he never met Orson Wells, Wells recorded the naration in a hotel room somewhere and sent him the tape.
I got an e-mail from someone who said he was Nick Bousustow who offered to dub a copy for me for $75 or so. I explained that I'm disabled, on a fixed income and couldn't afford $75 at that point. We exchanged one or two e-mails and I never got a reply to my last one.
Another gentleman actually tracked me down and called me, told me his company (specializing in educational media) had the rights to distribute IIARTBR? and offered to burn a copy for $75 or $100. I told him the same thing. He told me he'd keep my # and let me know if they ever got to a point where they mass-produced copies at $35 or less.
Someone else had a 16mm print available and I got that converted to VHS, as I don't have projection equipment. I didn't remember I'd posted on this board about looking for a copy and come back here to post that I had located the short. I must say that it's as good as I remember it being! Sometimes memory can play tricks on you, but this is truly an incredible film. Thanks again.
If I had a second VCR, I could dub a copy for you and send it you way, but I don't have a second VCR at the moment. I may be able to figure something out after I talk to some friends, but I may not be able to get a VHS copy made. I might be able to have a DVD copy made. Would a DVD work for you?
