Odd movie, and very badly made

I do not know who was directly responsible for this trash, but it's the most poor movie Peter Cushing made.

It appears to been financially backed by a European company - but not anyone from the UK.

It looks like it's filmed on someone's home movie cine camera and edited by a chimp!

Anton Ray Fladeboe edited it and he only has 7 fingers so he does as well as he can.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

I agree completely. This movie was very, very bad indeed. It's got to be the worst movie Peter Cushing, Patrick Macnee or Edward Woodward appeared in. It was so bad that I actually forgot that Edward Woodward was in it. It's not even bad in a good way (if you get my meaning). It's a serious contender for the worst movie I have ever seen. Only THE FIENDS can compete with it.

I'm not surprised it didn't receive financial backing from anyone in the UK!

It's not even close to being the worst film Peter Cushing made. That honour belongs to A TOUCH OF THE SUN.

"Tinkerty tonk," I said, and I meant it to sting.

It was made by Titan productions, a UK company set up by Robert Hartford-Davis and Peter Newbrook. They had originally started making films for Tony Tenser but had formed their own production company to escape his interference. They had previously made the camp classic Corruption. This is based on a relatively well known novel Doctors Wear Scarlet by Simon Raven.

The film's basic problem was that it ran out of money and never got finished. I don't know why but my best guess would be that they underestimated the difficulty of location filming in Greece (previous films made by Titan were UK based). Some time later, the distributors tried to patch it together and got this orgy scene filmed and stuck into the movie to up the salacious content.

As a result of this Hartford-Davis had his name taken off the picture's credits. Because of this he split up with Newbrook and went off and made The Fiend (aka Beware the Brethren) whilst Newbrook eventually directed The Asphyx.

Thanks for your replies. I am thinking of watching it again, just to see if it was as bad as I first thought.

After reading your replies, looks like it really does suck. No pun intended.
