great movie great dialogue

This movie is unforgettable in so many ways but especially for the dialogue each of us can use in our daily lives. My absolute favorite line which I have made my own among family members and friends is where Richard is being ignored by his wife and mother until finally he says that he has six months to live, eight if he stays in bed! It's just so rich, as they perk up a bit hearing that but not much. It's just so rich and can easily be adapted when one is being ignored. i also love the part where he gets on the airplane and like a speed demon finishes the crossword puzzle in the New York Times or some other big smarty pants newspaper after already pouring over the same puzzle hours earlier so he can impress women later on the plane. Of course, it works. The movie is just so spot on about how a man's ego can swell and how sad a wife can become. I don't think I've ruined the movie but so I don't just try to see it somehow. You won't forget it. I would say Gould plays sort of a Richard Benjamin type character.
