Plato's Retreat?

In the film, the guys are screwing around in front of the Ansonia Hotel on Broadway, and in the next scene they're in an indoor swimming pool -- I assume in or near the Ansonia.

As a kid in the early 60's, I lived behind the Ansonia hotel on West End Avenue, and we used to go swimming in a pool at a gym right behind the Ansonia.

Not sure if the pool's the same one, but I do recall hearing from someone that the gym I used to attend had become the infamous Plato's Retreat (a notorious sex club for swingers back in the 70's). Would anyone know if the pool in the film was part of what later became Plato's?
