How Awful About Allan (1970)

The quality on my VHS tape (printed in 1991) is pretty low i think.
I've had it laying around a few years and didn't watch it untill now.
I enjoyed the acting, The voice of the Boarder hit me, and the movie takes some unexpected turns. I kind of like it in some way.
You feel compassion for the character "Allan", and i liked the "Olive" character too.

She waters the flowers on my grave,
every evening at 7 o'clock,
now the colorful leaves are falling,
and i can still hear her calling,
throw every night and every day,
She waters the flowers on my grave.
we take a stroll down memory lane,
as the sunlight reflects onto the stone that bears my name,
over the tears, the church bells keep ringing,
over the years, the birds in the sky keep singing,
now the colorful leaves are falling,
and i can still hear her calling,
and she lights a candle, and walks away,
every evening at my grave.

there's a new book on amazon.com called TELEVISION FRIGHT FILMS OF THE 1970S that talks about this film.

Tony Perkins was superb as usual. He's one of those actors I can watch in anything, even if it's junk.

I enjoyed Joan Hackett from Support Your Local Sheriff!. She was a hoot in that film. So so in this film.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

I watched this last night on DVD - my copy is good, with good sound track. I like this psychological thriller, and Julie Harris and Anthony Perkins give good performances. I intend to watch it again soon. I can't believe that it is sixteen years since Anthony Perkins died.
