The "Trivia" section has a comment stating that this production was intended for theatrical release. Quinn Martin Productions created television, not feature, films and series. True, US TV product was often released in theaters overseas.

It was never intended for theatrical release, it was one of those "movies of the week" they used to make specially for TV. Before the mini-series craze I think.

Yes, I am very aware of MOWs, having worked on several. That was my original implication.
