Was actress Chloe Franks really 11 years old in the film??

Checking the profile of actress Chloe Franks who played the little girl Jane Reid in the segment "Sweets to the Sweet", I see she was born on April 4, 1959.

That would make her 11 years old in the film.

I am sorry, I find this difficult to believe. Chloe looked to be hardly 6 years old, never mind 11.

She's tiny. I'd even say she was 5!

Can someone confirm if Chloe was really born in 1959? I'd say more like 1964/5.

if you havnt already got the dvd,get it and watch the special features, theres an interview with chloe franks who states herself that she was indeed 11 years old.i agree with you though that she looked much younger but i think she was just a very small, petite child and that made her appear younger.

With the massive volume of data here on the IMDb it is understandable that there is bound to be a typo or two on some bio-entries. Perhaps they were data entering bio info from a list, and put the birthplace and year from the next person on the list in Ms. Franks listing instead. There might be another Chloe on here with Ms. Franks info on their bio. I still believe that IMDb is the greatest free, public information source anyone ever conceived; I'm in awe of it.

A few years later,(1977),She went on to appear in another horror movie called "The Uncanny" where she played "Angela". Again in the role of a child.Even though by then, she would have been an adult of 18 years old

There are a lot of deleted replies to this, so, at the risk of repeating an earlier post, here goes.....

The director of "The House That Dripped Blood" and his co-commentator (may have been a producer) on the DVD clearly state that this was filmed in 1970 and that Chloe Franks was 7 years old. This would put her year of birth as either 1962 or 1963.

Another respondant to your question stated that on the DVD, Chloe herself said that she was 11 years old when this was filmed. Having watched all the extras on the disc, including a lot of comment from Chloe, at no time did she mention her age.

In addition, I have a number of other films in which Chloe appeared, and quite simply a 1962 or 1963 birth date is far more believable than a 1959 one.

My conclusion therefore, for what it is worth, is that in this instance IMDb have got Chloe's date of birth wrong by a few years.

It now says on IMDB that she was born in 1963.

She really is an underrated child star. She has been very good in every movie I've seen of hers (The House That Dripped Blood, Tales From the Crypt, The Uncanny), yet whenever people talk about talented child stars in horror movies, Chloe isn't mentioned very often. I see no reason why.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

When "Interview with the Vampire" hit the bookstores and I read about Claudia, I thought that Chloe Franks would fit the role beautifully. I also thought of Shane Briant as Lestat. But, so many years passed before the novel was filmed.

I still picture those two when I reread the novel.
