The non-dubbed Arnold version was issued a few years ago. Guess it is the "preferred" version now.
The Swedish DVD that I own has the option to watch either version.

I wouldn't buy the dvd unless it at least had the original dubbed version. I seriously think it's funny, though I've never watched the one with Arnold's voice so I can't compare them. First of all it's funny after seeing Arnold in so many movies just to hear this really generic voice coming out of his mouth. More importantly it references back to the Italian puplums like the Hercules movies of the 60s which were always heavily dubbed, so to me that makes it more effective as a spoof of the genre which is what it was supposed to be as far as I can tell.

Did I not love him, Cooch? MY OWN FLESH I DIDN'T LOVE BETTER!!! But he had to say 'Nooooooooo'

But then try to imagine a Greek god with a very thick German accent...!

How is that different than imagining a Greek god with an American accent?

reply

Good point, but then try to imagine an Austrian speaking English with a Greek accent

Oh that sucks. The ridiculous dubbing was the best thing about this turd of a movie.

reply

Wow. I have absolutely no freaking memory of making that comment.
