thank you channel 5 uk,never seen before

Just when I think I have seen every poor world war 11 film I come across this on CHANNEL 5 in the UK.
I only saw the last 30 minutes but it seemed fun but not a classic.

The Matla locations look great and ELIZABETH SHEPHERD is an interesting semi nude feature in this.
Seems she was in a lot of American tv but she was a Brit,can't say I recall seeing her in anything else.
(She was the originsl EMMA PEEL in the AVENGERS but she was sacked and her scenes redone by DIANA RIGG).

If you look at the director's other films it is like a worse film title competition

If the GUNS OF NAVARONE are the Beatles this film is the Monkees,fun but not in the same league.

Since this post might be read by war films experts on IMDB,can I ask if anyone remembers an Italian war film from the early 1970s which was partly shot in English and featured the Italian army in North Africa,it sought to show the Italians as good brave soldiers badly led by fascists,it also showed the sneaky dishonest Brits attacking without giving warning and bringing too many troops to the battle,damned unfair.
