Ask Agamemnon

This film's production title was originally Ask Agamemnon.

Which was also the name of the book the movie is based on-- and which, IMO, sucks pretty badly. The writing isn't great and occasionally the narrative shifts into a play format to represent fantasy sequences occurring inside of Jacki's head, which involve Agamemnon coming to life and interacting with her. To this day I have no idea what Jenni Hall was going for. The best parts of the movie are those that diverge from the book. Notably, most people I know who like the film feels that it starts to drag once the emphasis shifts to Redgrave's character, and these are the parts of the movie taken most faithfully from the novel.
