Paul Peterson

Paul Peterson was so good-looking in this movie. I didn't really watch the Donna Reed show, as I probably wasn't even born when it aired on t.v. I'm not really sure of the air date. I first watched Gidget Grows up as a movie on t.v. when I was a child, and then again several years later. I do remember what a babe Paul Peterson was and am surprised that he didn't make more movies in his adult years.

Eh. Forget the little boy, I was in love with Edward Mulhare. What a hunk! Paul was for little girls who like little boys. Edward was for those women who liked a REAL MAN. :)

Gidget Grows Up(1969) was downbeat and dramatic. When did Gidget turn into Valley of the Dolls(1967)? Paul Peterson was a cast member on The Donna Reed Show. In one episode, a young Lori Martin tries to seduce him!

Edward Mulhare was even better in The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.

According to Peterson it was in 1969 (when this was made) that he supposedly hit rock bottom as a former "child star" trying to transition to an adult acting career, when Mickey Rooney told him Hollywood would never let him make that transition, and that he had to get out of Hollywood, and so supposedly he did, and went to college. Yet he made this and it aired at the end of 1969. So he did have opportunities.

Get the facts first - you can distort them later!
