discrepancy in runtime

IMDb shows here a runtime of 103 minutes, but the Sony copy I have has a total runtime of 94'25", and other sources for this same Sony release generally give timings of 94-95 minutes. This is far too great a discrepancy to be attributable to a PAL-NTSC conversion, if that was in fact done. However, IMDb does not indicate any cut versions in its certification listings, and has no listing or discussion of alternate versions.

Can anyone confirm that there ever was a 103 minute release, or is this simply an error here at IMDb? On the other hand, the concept of artistic integrity is entirely foreign to the people at Sony who are in charge of releasing their music and film holdings, and nothing they might do could surprise me. (For just one example, they butchered Lawrence of Arabia by deleting from all DVD releases a very brief but crucial scene of Lawrence's rape by the Bey while in captivity.)

It must be an error. Both English and Italian wiki pages on Finzi-Contini list 94 minutes.

Returning to this page nearly a year later I see IMDb has corrected their runtime to show 94 minutes instead of the incorrect 103 minutes.
