Is This the Movie I Think It Is?

I'm trying desperately to remember a movie I saw (in a theatre) circa 1970 (my childhood), and I think "Yog" may be it. Can anyone help me ID it?

Here's what I remember:
Scene 1: A large "man in a rubber suit" monster is defeated by unleashing a cave full of bats that circle its head and use their ultrasonc screeching to somehow impair it.

Scene 2: A scientist pokes a blue blob with a stick. The blob eventually slimes its way onto his hand/wrist; he reacts in pain and shock, and the blob takes over his body.

That's this movie, Yog Monster from Space, or Space Amoeba.

The second scene is in 'The Blob', an American movie from the fifties.

"What do you want me to do, draw a picture? Spell it out!"

No, the scene he describes is in SPACE AMOEBA (YOG: MONSTER FROM SPACE). In THE BLOB, it was a red blob, not a blue one. Same action, different colors.
