Laughed Myself Silly!

I remember seeing 'The Vampire Happening', way back in 1971 - I think it was at the drive-in - and at the time, I remember being a little bemused that someone should dare to 'poke fun' at one of my favourite genres - vampire flicks.

However, after about 43 years without seeing it, I purchased it online, and last night, I sat down for an evening's entertainment, armed with a glass or two of red wine.

I haven't laughed so much since I last watched The Marx Brothers.

EVERYTHING about this schlock flick was spot-on! The excessive nudity, which includes the delicious Pia Dagermark, the tongue-in-cheek humour, the colour, the music, and the best part of all.....the (usually serious) actor Ferdie Mayne as Count Dracula, who steals the show whenever he is on the screen.

Best Quote - from Ferdie:

"You can call me Christopher - I'm sure he won't mind..." (A very funny nod to Christopher Lee as Dracula in dozens of Hammer productions.)

This film is definitely one for the Saturday night get-together group. Just go in with an open mind, and try not to try and take it too seriously!
