Uzbekistan Rock Painting

Early in the 70's, my dad took me to see Chariots of the Gods, a questionable film choice for a seven year old, since the film scared the hell out of me! One of the scariest sequences, accompanied by panic-inducing Peter Thomas music, was the supposed rock painting from Uzbekistan, which the film claimed was 12,000 year old.

Unfortunately it's too good to be true.

Have you ever seen an old Twilight Zone episode called "The Fear"? It's got both that same astronaut, and flying saucer with a single jet spraying from the bottom. The resemblance is so striking that it must have influenced the artist who made the illustration.

Thanks for that link, Poisoned_Dragon. Looks like the copyist might have done his work on parchment.
